Geneviève de Gaulle-Anthonioz:

“We had people distributing our newspaper, Défense de la France. We couldn’t always know what was really in their hearts. One student was a paid Gestapo informer who was responsible for the loss of part of the ‘Combat’ movement in the southern zone. He had a salary and received a bonus for each arrest. After serving against ‘Combat’ and ‘Défense de la France’ he continued his activities in the north and caused more arrests there.”
