Requests for photos taking views

Like all intellectual property, the architectural work is protected by a copyright that remains in effect 70 years after the author’s death. The reproduction of contemporary structures located on public property therefore requires permission from the architects.

No permission is necessary to take photographs of the CERD intended for private use.

Requests for permission in the framework of professional use of photographs and moving images must be sent to the architect of the European Centre, Pierre-Louis FALOCI, who may or may not grant it (Mr. Pierre-Louis FALOCI, 9 boulevard du Port Royal, 75013 PARIS)

Whatever the framework in which the photographs are taken, the authors and users should be notified :

In the framework of the right to use images and respect of privacy, users must inform anybody in their field of view that their image will be used.  Violators are subject to civil and criminal prosecution (cf Civil code,  art.9 and Criminal code, art. 226-1, 226-2, 226-8).
