All the educational materials can be downloaded free of charge.

Prepare for your visit with the following educational files :

Educational file "What is a concentration camp? An example of KL-Natzweiler" (pdf - 6.30 Mi).

It is an interesting tool for a dynamic approach to the site. It supports a desire to welcome secondary school students, to respond to the evolution of programmes and the new issues faced relating to the European Resistance deportation.

Two main themes drive students to the Centre and the camp:

- the history of the Nazi concentration camp system (questions in blue)

- the particularity of KL-Natzweiler in the organisation

Each page is illustrated with a quotation that calls for vigilance, resistance and commitment, so that the pupils' reflection on these issues does not stop once the visit is over.

This file can be used before, during or after the visit, outside or inside the classroom. Its contents can be divided between several sub-groups, to allow deeper study of a particular aspect.

"History and Vigilance, a visit to the European Centre of Deported Resistance Members" educational pack (pdf - 1.23 Mi).

Complementary to dossier 1 or used on its own, it reviews the history of resistance to Nazi oppression throughout Europe and offers links for reading and analysing us to consider/contemplate : what meaning do the words freedom, vigilance or commitment have  today? A very detailed dossier, which can also be used to prepare or complete the visit.
