TRIPARTITE PACT: Pact signed by Germany, Italy and Japan in September 1940. Hungary, Romania, Slovakia (a State created from what remained of Czechoslovakia after Germany dismantled it and annexed the Sudetenland), Bulgaria and Croatia joined the pact after Germany and Italy jointly invaded Greece and Yugoslavia in April-May 1941.
